What to say
Open simply
“Hi! We’re from Bethel Assembly of God. We’re sharing hope and inviting our community to San Antonio Fire Conference 26. May I give you an invitation?”
Offer prayer
“Before we go, is there anything you or your family would like us to pray about?”
Bridge to the Gospel
“May I share in one minute why Jesus has given me hope?”
If they lean in
Share it clearly: God loves us; sin separates us from God; Jesus died and rose again; salvation is received by grace through faith. Invite them to respond freely, with no pressure.
If they decline
“Absolutely. Thank you for your time. God bless you and have a wonderful day.”
Conduct and safety
- Work in pairs or teams. Minors stay with approved adult leaders under the church safeguarding policy.
- Use public areas or places where permission has been granted. Never assume a private property allows solicitation.
- Do not block entrances, sidewalks, traffic, or business operations.
- Do not argue or continue after someone clearly declines.
- Collect only information someone volunteers. Explain why it is needed and give it only to the follow-up team.
- Post photos and testimonies only with permission.
Emergency: Call 911. For team issues, call your zone leader.
